The Roof Terrace
The most breath-taking feature of The Varsity Hotel & Spa is its spectacular roof terrace. This unique place on top of the hotel offers stunning picture postcard views of the city.
For those wishing to do a lazy tour of Cambridge most University Colleges can be viewed from the roof garden. Enjoy a glass of champagne from our extensive champagne menu, or a cooling glass of Pimms and lemonade from our drinks list lounging on one of the sofas, relaxing, as the world passes by below.
In the late afternoon/early evening The Varsity rooftop becomes the most romantic spot in the city, watching the sun set whilst enjoying a champagne cocktail, a gin and tonic or a glass of mulled wine to keep you warm. Blankets are also provided.
Roof Terrace Winter Opening Times (Weather dependent - if it is excessively windy or raining the roof will be shut):
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12pm - 5.30pm (For drinks)
The roof terrace is available for private hire for your special events.
Please note children are not allowed on the roof terrace
